This was a book that I was strongly recommended to read.
I loved the start and end. I loved any of the parts with the main character and his mother. The middle section where the mother was absent didn’t feel as emotionally correct. The narrator is a 12 year old boy who is a prostitute like his mother. However, the only time I believed this was in the final pages. Great characters with some good scenarios but not a huge recommendation from me.
